Abstract

Marcelo Carvalho Ferraz in his article “Lina Bo Bardi, de Italia para Brasil”, published in Revista Universitaria (Chile) ,wrote that one of the main point for the understanding of the Lina Bo Bardi`s architecture is her relation with the theatre. With the aim to get a better knowledge and understanding of his thought and work, this article analyze the relation of the architect with the theatre from sixties when her connection with the artist and directors of theater is more intense that led her to work and realize some scenographies and theatrical projects. Also this article analyze how the different artistic movements related with the theater, both national and international, influenced the thoughts of Lina Bo Bardi and how are identified in the project process and finally in her built architecture.
