Abstract

Architecture is implicitly within the productive field of economic systems, and obsolescence within this context is defined as devaluation. Obsolescence in the discipline has been a rarely recurring theme since the focus is more on the act of creation. This text seeks to discuss how the final stages associated with the deterioration of a work can be the beginnings of others, how some references from art and architecture give us glimpses into the project of re-programming obsolescence as a design attribute.
