At a time of intense activity in the reformulation of educational spaces, the Timbaler school of El Bruc by Oriol Bohigas and Josep Martorell incorporated advances in school architecture according to new pedagogical needs and stood out as an exemplary work. This research places the work in its context, analyses the building in detail based on its original documentation and the redesign of its plans and identifies its main values. Although the project was based on established patterns, it added particular contributions that contributed to the development of school typology and became a reference for later projects, both by its authors and other professionals. This article is not only addressed to researchers of the history of architecture but also to architects as a whole due to the validity of the value of the work as an architectural project.
